The stone Jade-Jadeite has derived its name from the Spanish word “piedra de ijada”. It is a generic term that have been used for two gems namely, nephrite and jadeite. These two gems are considered in China as “ zhen yu” meaning “genuine jade”. Since Jadeite is not abundantly found so it is regarded more valuable than nephrite.
