Coral

Coral is known as a macrobiotic gemstones formed from organic sources that is basically the "skeleton" formed by the individual polyps, plant-like animals.

Coral comprises of calcium carbonate with a trace of carotene that are sediments collected and deposited by tiny sea creatures existing in the nadir of temperate seas in enormous colonies. The stones usually are seen to be grown on branches that seem to be underwater trees. The coral that are mostly used to adorn jewelry is resident in the Mediterranean Sea or in the Pacific sea near Japan and Taiwan.

The Chemical Composition of the stone is CaCO3 and chemical name is Calcium Carbonate. The stone possesses a Hardness of 3.5 and specific gravity ranges to 2.6 - 2.7
